About me

I am a somatic therapist, clinical social worker, writer, dancer and creative. I love nature and it inspires my work. Art and creativity also inspire my work. I love to create narrative and this is something I explore therapeutically. I possess an innocence of heart that leads my work. But this innocence was once lost through trauma and part of my work is around restoration and the transmutation of pain.

I work primarily with trauma survivors. My work has been rooted in grief, trauma and sexual violence, addiction, and individual and community healing. I use a social justice and humanitarian lens in my work. I have completed training with both Somatic Experiencing International and the Embodiment Institution, which is why I center embodiment and somatics in my work. I also utilize art therapy techniques in my practice, including visual art and narrative therapy. I find meaning making and narrative to be a very important part of the therapeutic process. I utilize parts work and internal family systems theory to process inherited patterns and create change in family systems and in the individual. I also utilize systems theory when considering the individual in the world and navigating and confronting our very many systems. A large part of my practice is rooted in advocacy for my clients.
